Nice Tomatoes

Carrot, apple, beet, celery, Ginger Juice!

Fricken YUM!
(My juicer makes it sound like a helicopter is taking off in my
apartment... )

Spoiled by a Sunny Farmer's Market in January

Still figuring out the cooking situation in my new make-shift kitchen,
which I affectionately refer to as 'the galley'.

Arctic Char How Tasty You Are!

Sunny Sunday in Vermont

Finally a sunny day in Vermont. Celebrating with sun lit sunny side up eggs, smoked bacon, and wood fired sesame bagel. I know the surgeon general does not approve of the eggs. They'll have to fine me.

Christmas Feast '09

Guess I'd better post this before the statute of limitations runs out. Two days of cooking fun. (All recipes were from the 2009 Sunset Holiday Cookbook, and all can be found online. Click on the links for the recipes and some nice pictures.)

Cider-Brined Pork Chops with Sautéed Apples

Brussels Sprouts with Parmesan and Pine Nuts

Cornbread and Gorgonzola Dressing

Overnight Soft Herb Rolls (which turned out more like focaccia)

It was the first time I've made Crème fraiche--it's surprisingly easy. It was used in the Pork Chop recipe and on top the Chocolate Pots. Here's how to make it.

Tapenade-Goat Cheese Canapés
Salt-and-Pepper Crackers
Walnut Red Pepper Dip

prepared a day in advance and forgotten in the fridge until after dinner...

Isn't anyone else eating ???

What, is the whole family fasting after the holidaze?

It looks like I'm the only one cooking and of course eating. Todays course is Turkish butter flied chicken breast with these fabulous spices I obtained in Istanbul, curried cukes , and broccoli.
