Christmas Feast '09

Guess I'd better post this before the statute of limitations runs out. Two days of cooking fun. (All recipes were from the 2009 Sunset Holiday Cookbook, and all can be found online. Click on the links for the recipes and some nice pictures.)

Cider-Brined Pork Chops with Sautéed Apples

Brussels Sprouts with Parmesan and Pine Nuts

Cornbread and Gorgonzola Dressing

Overnight Soft Herb Rolls (which turned out more like focaccia)

It was the first time I've made Crème fraiche--it's surprisingly easy. It was used in the Pork Chop recipe and on top the Chocolate Pots. Here's how to make it.

Salt-and-Pepper Crackers
Walnut Red Pepper Dip

prepared a day in advance and forgotten in the fridge until after dinner...

Finally, I thought you retreated to hot pockets and chicken wings. Looks delicious, can't wait to put on the feeed bag at your house this spring.

Sorry, I only do this once a century. Back to hot pockets...

This looks delish. I am drooling- especially for those chocolate pots.
