There is some really high quality Food Photography happening on this blog...
I would like some tips! My photos always come out yellow, and the food doesn't look nearly as good as it does in person... advice?

Hi Georgia,
I think your pics look fine--I didn't really notice the color until you mentioned it. It looks like your walls are painted yellow, which would probably give a yellowish tint to your pics. Another thing could be lighting--light from incandescent bulbs is more yellow than natural daylight. I usually have a problem of not enough light and then the flash wants to go off, which washes everything out, so I use the no flash setting and hold the camera as steady as I can for the longer exposure. You might try some inexpensive halogen lights, but direct light might cause shadows, so maybe reflect it off a neutral color.
Rusty, you should chime in here--didn't you get an A in a photography assignment once? BTW, your pie pic is perfect.
Hey Georgia,
The yellow tint is due to the indoor lighting. It can be fixed by adjusting the white balance, either in camera before taking the picture (i.e. your camera might have a way to change the white balance to 'tungsten' or 'custom'). Or you can fix it later in photoshop /lightroom /iphoto.
What kind of camera are you using?
Here's an article for the camera nerd in you ;-)
